We thank Skalicky for his interest in our article.1 We agree that a rehabilitation approach to complement the model of care may be very helpful. Patients and services work within significant financial constraints, thus all goals need to be stepped, meaningful and achievable. Previous literature supports the utility of family psychosocial interventions for patients with schizophrenia in encouraging compliance and reducing hospital admission.2 Our service is structured to embrace community rehabilitation services and emphasises the need to contextualise goals for each individual.
