Professor Peh is Senior Consultant and Head, Department of Diagnostic Radiology, Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, and Clinical Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS). He specialises in musculoskeletal radiology, with strong interest in medical writing and editing. To date, he has authored 8 books, more than 50 book chapters, more than 350 PubMed-listed journal publications, and has delivered more than 700 invited lectures.
Professor Peh served as Chief Editor of the Singapore Medical Journal and is currently Advisor. He was past Chief Editor of Proceedings of Singapore Healthcare, Founding Chief Editor of the Hong Kong Journal of Radiology and currently Senior Editor of the British Journal of Radiology. His Editorial Board memberships (past or current) include journals such as Radiology, American Journal of Roentgenology, Skeletal Radiology, Seminars in Musculoskeletal Radiology and American Journal of Orthopedics. He is currently serving as President of the Asia-Pacific Association of Medical Journal Editors.
Professor Peh has been Chief Examiner for the Master of Medicine (MMed) (Diagnostic Radiology), NUS, since 2002 and is Chairman of the NUS MMed (Diagnostic Radiology) Committee. He has also examined for the FRCR (UK), FHKCR, MMed (Malaysia), MD (Sri Lanka), Indonesian National Radiology Board and various Masters/PhDs (University of Antwerp, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, University of Hong Kong, Universiti Sains Malaysia, NUS). He has organised the conjoint Final MMed (NUS)-FRCR part B (UK) examinations in Singapore since 2011.
He was the Founding President of the Asian Musculoskeletal Society (1999-2003), inaugural 1998 Radiological Society of North America Editorial Fellow, inaugural 2000 and 2001 ASEAN Association of Radiology Visiting Professor, 2003 International Skeletal Society President’s Medallist, 2007 Japanese Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology Katayama Lecturer, 2010 Singapore Medical Association Merit Award recipient, 2015 Karkala Subbarao Orator of the Musculoskeletal Society of India, 2017 FY Khoo Memorial Lecturer of the Singapore Radiological Society-College of Radiologists Singapore, and 2017 Singapore Ministry of Health Distinguished Senior Clinician Award recipient.
